Bloom ABA Services:

In-Clinic 1:1 Services

Our 1:1 services involve natural environment teaching with a child led approach. Each child is set up with a very unique therapy session that is tailored to their individual needs.

Social Skills Groups

Social skills groups range from 2-5 children per group. Each social skills group is led by one of Bloom’s amazing instructors. The instructor leads a fun activity for the group to engage in together. Each client is still working on their own unique goals but has the opportunity to interact with peers!

School Shadowing

Our therapist goes into the client’s classroom and supports them in this setting. Support can be given on increasing social interactions, following classroom expectations, decreasing interfering behaviors, etc! The child will still have their own individualized treatment plan.

Group Instruction in Clinic

Similar to classroom shadowing, the client is in the clinic setting with a group teacher. The group includes 3-8 clients and the teacher sets up the classroom for school readiness.

In-Home and Community Outings

Our behavior analysts come in home to assist with any goal the parents are seeking support on. Behavior analysts also go out into the community with caregivers to provide support. This could be doctor’s offices, dental, grocery stores, restaurants, etc!

Caregiver Support

Caregiver support is provided throughout all our client’s treatment. We will work together to identify goals for you and your child that are meaningful to your family!

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

“Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science in which tactics derived from the principles of behavior are applied systematically to improve socially significant behavior” (Cooper, Heron,& Heward, 2007). As a field, ABA focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place and uses these principles to bring about meaningful, objective, and measurable learning outcomes and changes to behavior.

ABA therapy is individualized to meet the needs of each learner. The principles of ABA are used to make socially significant increases in desirable behavior (communication, social skills, play, life skills, emotional regulation) and decrease unsafe or challenging behaviors (aggression, property destruction).
